All information on Hindu Parv is published for general and religious information only. Please read this before relying on anything on the site.
Where the information comes from
Festival and vrat dates, muhurat, auspicious yoga timings, puja vidhi, aarti, mantra, chalisa and vrat katha are based on research and compilation from scriptures, widely used panchangs, traditions and other public sources.
Differences of opinion and possible errors
Different panchangs (for example Surya Siddhanta and Drik calculations), regional traditions, sampradayas and scriptures often hold different views on the same subject. Tithi, nakshatra and yoga timings also change with location (city), sunrise and the calculation method used.
So any date, time, ritual or text on this site may differ from your tradition or contain errors. All times are in Indian Standard Time (IST) and are usually given for a single reference location.
Always verify
- Before any vrat, puja, ritual, wedding, griha pravesh, purchase or other auspicious work, confirm the date and time with your local jantri / panchang.
- For ritual methods and rules, consult your family tradition, an authentic scripture or a qualified pandit / acharya.
- For health aspects of fasting or sadhana, consult a doctor where needed.
Not professional advice
This site does not give astrological, medical, legal or financial advice. No result of any ritual, remedy or yoga is guaranteed; such results are matters of faith and tradition.
